Our
FAQ
Kawai Kids does not provide drop-in care but we do have part time options families can choose from. We offer a 2 days schedule (Tuesday and Thursday) and 3 days schedule (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). All schedules are full day but parents/guardians may pick up their child earlier if they would like a half day schedule.
The registration fee will be paid via Brightwheel. Once the family has decided to enroll, Kawai Kids staff will assist in setting up a Brightwheel account for the family.
Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Join Today!”. It will take you to our waitlist form. Please fill it out and it will automatically add you to our waiting list. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at (323) 728-KIDS (5437) or at info@kawaikids.com if you have any further questions.
A staff member will contact families on the waitlist once we have an opening available. We will give families 48-72 hours to decide whether they would like to enroll their child at that time. If families choose not to enroll their child at that time, we will keep them on the waitlist and move on to the next family.
Each staff member at Kawai Kids is carefully selected for their caring, nurturing attitude, knowledge of child development, and their enthusiasm and passion for teaching young children. They are qualified and competent Early Childhood Educators with education, skills, and experience in the field. All staff members meet or exceed all State regulated requirements including criminal record clearance by the DOJ, completed early childhood education courses, and health clearance. Staff members are required to attend meetings and trainings throughout the year for professional development to continually provide a quality program.
Yes! We have an on site chef that prepares breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks. All of this is included in your monthly tuition.
Parent communication is very important to us here at Kawai Kids! We utilize Brightwheel to communicate with parents throughout the day. Parents/Guardians are more than welcome to send a message to their child’s teacher. Teachers also send updates through the app. Parents/Guardians may also talk to their child’s teacher during pick up and drop off. If more time is needed, parents/guardians may schedule a meeting with their child’s teacher. We also hold Parent Teacher Conferences twice a year which gives the parents and teachers an opportunity to discuss the student’s progress and goals.
